Our Philosophy
Our addiction treatment program is based on an individualized approach. We are dedicated to meeting the specific issues of each one of our clients. Most “addiction treatment programs” just do not get specific enough to treat the actual problems encountered in an active addiction. At Ambrosia, each client is assigned an individualized treatment plan. Just as our clients vary, so do our treatment plans. We are very much a part of and join in with our clients in developing their treatment plans. We also depend on the family or significant others for additional information. To get and stay sober takes a collaborative effort between the client, his/her family, and our treatment team.
Recovery In A Treatment Program
At Ambrosia Treatment Center we focus on treating the entire person when it comes to our addiction treatment program. Total Recovery is more than just “talk therapy”. Treatment centers talk about addiction being a disease which is three-fold, but only treat one to two thirds of the disease. The common theme is “he sounded so good”. Addicts and alcoholics can always sound good. They have spent most of their lives and all of their addiction sounding good so as to not appear to be doing so bad. At Ambrosia we have incorporated some time proven methods that have been in use for years and are still effective tools today. Treating the mind is a challenging task. It takes a myriad of therapies to break the mental part of addiction. Our experiential treatment program allows clients to delve into their past, explore unhealthy thinking and living patterns, and begin to make changes toward living a sober life.
Aftercare/Sober Living
Ambrosia Treatment Center believes that recovery is a process. Sometimes after an intensive treatment experience a client may require continued treatment in a less restrictive environment. Studies have shown that addicts need structure, the longer the better. Halfway house involvement is sometimes important for stability in early recovery. We at Ambrosia have many halfway houses in our network, both men and women’s, that meet these needs. In addition, we offer group and individual therapy on an outpatient basis to those that could benefit from it.
